Kind Crumbs: a Wholesale Dedicated Gluten-Free Bakery
Kind Crumbs is a celiac, woman-owned and operated wholesale gluten-free bakery in Grand Rapids, Michigan. We proudly supply restaurants, grocery stores, coffee shops, and other businesses throughout West Michigan with high-quality, allergy-friendly baked goods.
Kind Crumbs was born out of necessity and passion. After being diagnosed with celiac disease in 2009, founder Rebecca Duiven was shocked by the lack of safe and delicious gluten-free desserts available in stores and restaurants. She believed it had to be possible to create gluten-free baked goods that could rival (or surpass) the taste and texture of traditional wheat-based treats.
For four years, Rebecca dedicated herself to developing recipes, baking for friends, and fulfilling custom orders. Eventually leaving her career as a paralegal, she began selling at farmers markets, and continued expanding and perfecting Kind Crumbs offerings.
In 2014, Kind Crumbs moved into a catering kitchen and began supplying area grocery stores and coffee shops. By 2017, the business had grown into its own dedicated gluten-free production facility in Northwest Grand Rapids. What started as a determined woman with a sweet tooth and a tiny kitchen is now a thriving wholesale bakery serving over 70 businesses.
At Kind Crumbs, our mission has never changed: to make the best possible baked goods that are always safe for those with celiac disease, and crafted to be enjoyed by everyone. All of our products are gluten-free, dairy-free, and soy-free, with many egg-free and corn-free options, and we are proud to be Kosher-certified.
At Kind Crumbs, our focus is on serving our wholesale customers with consistency, quality, and care. We believe that every bite should bring joy and comfort, proving once and for all: we don’t need gluten.
